The Reverse Text Path button can also change the position of the text from the inside of the circle to the outside of the circle. This may be required if you plan editing the vector document with another application at a later point. Change the font, style, and alignment to your liking. Then, you can change the kerning or spacing between the letters by holding Alt and using the arrow keys. Finally, you can change the Baseline setting to make it so that the text runs through the middle of the path.
